Do families need to create an account?: Families can view stories via a shared link without an account. If they want to add their own photos or use the app independently, they create a free account.
Can I use StoryRetriever in a school district setting?: Yes. StoryRetriever is designed with COPPA requirements in mind and is appropriate for school-based SLPs. If your district needs a data privacy agreement, reach out and we'll provide one.
What happens if a family doesn't have an iPad?: StoryRetriever works in any modern browser: Chrome, Safari, Firefox. Families can use it on a laptop, Android tablet, or desktop computer.
Can I import stories I've already created?: Currently, stories are built in StoryRetriever directly. Our template library covers the most common social narratives, and most SLPs find they can recreate existing stories quickly.
